Fun and Friendly Tennis since 2006

Welcome

Charlottesville Area Tennis Singles (CATS) was founded to encourage competitive yet friendly singles play between consenting adults. Speaking of consenting adults, the "Singles" in the title refers to a tennis match with one player on each side of the net. If you happened upon this web site looking for a love match in some other context, you are meowing up the wrong tree. The CATS Open Play Ratings are maintained year round, and round robin divisional matches are played in the most tennis friendly months here in Central Virginia, i.e. the Autumn and Spring. In the past, the CATS community has hosted several tournaments and will likely do so again. If you have questions and would care to learn more about the league, please e-mail the Commissioner at cats.commish@gmail.com.

Spring Divisional Session

Begins March 23, 2012

CATS Prepares for Spring Tennis

CATS Spring Divisions were posted Thursday night, 3/22, and the Umpire/Commissioner has screamed "Play Ball".... just in time for a rainy weekend. Nevertheless, use the down time to check out your divisional placement. See what you can find out about your new comrades/opponents on the All-time Ratings, Open Play Ratings, and newly revamped Members page. You may want to review the Rules/FAQ to see what's new in CATS this Spring.

Significant Changes to Website

As you peruse the website, you'll notice some significant changes. Even though the look and feel is the same, the primary nature of the change boils down to this: you can now enter your own scores and update your own contact information. This removes the Commish as a bottleneck in keeping this information up to date. Check your inbox or the Rules/FAQ pages for instructions about use of the new website. It's not rocket science, we think you'll figure it out quickly. Please let the Webmaster know about any glitches in the website. Thanks!
