WelcomeCharlottesville Area Tennis Singles (CATS) was founded to encourage competitive yet friendly singles play between consenting adults. Speaking of consenting adults, the "Singles" in the title refers to a tennis match with one player on each side of the net. If you happened upon this web site looking for a love match in some other context, you are meowing up the wrong tree. The CATS Open Play Ratings are maintained year round, and round robin divisional matches are played in the most tennis friendly months here in Central Virginia, i.e. the Autumn and Spring. In the past, the CATS community has hosted several tournaments and will likely do so again. If you have questions and would care to learn more about the league, please e-mail the Commissioner at cats.commish@gmail.com. |

CATS Concludes Autumn Session(Last Updated: November 21, 2011)
Another successful year of CATS Tenmis came to a close this weekend, with autumn divisional competition concluding. We have updated the Hall o' Fame with winners of both the autumn divisionals and our first ever doubles tournament. Even though it's a little redundant, we'd like to pass along our congratulations here to divisional champs: Josh Smith, Joel Haling, Charles Friel, Tammy Croote, Ed Lis, and Matt Chick. Well done!
CATS will go into a semi-hibernation at this point in the season. New divisional sessions will be announced in March 2012, so keep an eye on your Inbox. In the meantime, there are lots and lots of players who enjoy playing year-round, so if it looks like a nice crisp winter day and you feel like swinging a racquet, odds are you can find a willing opponent. CATS Open Play scores may be reported any day of the year. Tips for New MembersNeed to find an opponent for a CATS Open Play match?
